Applications of CNC lathes: machining round workpieces.

The operating principle of a lathe is to fix the workpiece on the spindle and rotate it at high or low speed, then use a cutting tool to perform cutting and other machining operations. Therefore, lathes are mostly used in manufacturing processes that require the production of circular shapes.

Common machining operations include internal and external diameter machining, drilling, thread cutting, cutting and grooving, end face machining, turning external diameters, drilling center holes, turning holes, reaming, turning tapered surfaces, and other machining procedures.
